Although I love Associated products, just looking at a side-by-side comparison of the two rc monster trucks show that the Losi Super Truck (LST) is the clear winner, at least on paper. Performance on the race track is another thing, but for now it looks like the Losi Super Truck is 12 mph faster and wider. The LST's bigger big-block engine is also an advantage over the Associated Monster GT.
Overall, the LST looks to be faster, handle better and have more braking power compared to the Monster GT. But the LST does cost $134 more than the GT. Which means you can buy the Monster GT plus use the $134 to buy a stronger motor which will give the Monster GT more top speed and acceleration.
So in the end, it looks like a tie. Not matter which truck you choose, you are sure to get a winner. But out of the box, the Losi Super Truck has the advantage over the Associated Monster GT.
Both nitro monster trucks are ready to run (RTR) kits. However you still need to buy items such as a glow igniter, fuel, fuel bottle, transmitter batteries (8 AA-size), and receiver batteries (4 AA-size).
